2010 TexTESOL III Best of the Best: Alison McGregor
Dr. Alison McGregor was named TexTESOL III's Best of the Best for her presentation on teaching American English intonation at the 2009 TexTESOL III Regional Conference. Dr. McGregor currently teaches oral communication skills to international graduate students and works as a communication coach for international MBAs at the University of Texas at Austin, where she also teaches a graduate level course in How to Teach Pronunciation. She is also co-owner of McGregorHolloway: Accent Modification Services.

Jada Pothina named 2009 TexTESOL III Best of the Best
Jada Pothina, UT ESL Services, was named 2009 TexTESOL III Best of the Best for her presentation, Got Markers? Paperless Activities for Vocabulary Expansion & Practice. Her presentation provided instructors with activities to actively engage their students in learning without using large amounts of paper or teacher-created resources. Whether the reason for this is environmental awareness or limited resources and/or prep time, whiteboard activities can be a great addition to any classroom repertoire. Ms. Pothina demonstrated a variety of activities to help students expand and practice vocabulary using only the whiteboard.

2008 TexTESOL III Best of the Best: Rosemary Rubino
The Board of TexTESOL III named Dr. Rosemary Rubino Best of the Best for her presentation at the 2007 TexTESOL III Regional Conference. Dr. Rubino is currently an Assistant Professor at St. Edward's University. She is Director of Bilingual Education and TExES Coordinator at the university. Her academic preparation includes an EdD in Educational Leadership, MA in Bilingual Education, and BS in Interdisciplinary Studies, all from Texas A&M University at Corpus Christi and Kingsville.
